Twilight on TV
The Twilight series is based in Forks, Washington, but none of the movies so far have been filmed there! Despite that little tidbit of info, folks are visiting Forks anyways. So much visiting that Forks has seen tremendous revenue from Twilight-association AND even talks of a reality TV show based in Forks. Would you watch the ‘real housewives of Forks’ or ‘the real world: forks’?
Everyone knows that the Twilight series put Forks, Washington on the proverbial map. So much so, in fact, that Forks has reported sky-rocketing visitation numbers and increased revenue for the town markets.
There’s already a documentary being made about the town’s history, Twilight In Forks (to be distributed alongside The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD by Summit Entertainment).
So, for there to be a new reality television show based on the Twilight town is not really a huge leap from the course of ordinary for this town. According to Forks Forum, the show will be based around residents of the town, and casting calls are being put into place next week.
